Garden Platform
At the far end of a garden bordered by an old stone wall, the proposal envisions the construction of a pavilion to support gatherings and shared meals. This new volume emerges as a space for celebration — designed to host events, dinners, and social moments — taking the form of a discreet yet expressive structure that connects the surrounding nature with an architectural gesture.
The design draws upon the pre-existing stone wall, which now plays an active role in the composition, functioning as a visual and structural anchor. In front of it, a light roof and continuous terrace are introduced, forming a generous platform where a long dining table is placed — a symbolic reference to the Last Supper. This central space, oriented toward the garden, shapes the outdoor experience and strengthens the relationship between interior and landscape.
Inside the pavilion, a support kitchen is integrated, built using local construction techniques: reinforced concrete structure, beam-and-block slabs, and simple, robust finishes. The choice of these systems ensures durability, ease of execution, and compatibility with local labour.
More than a functional annex, the pavilion asserts itself as a space for gathering and permanence — where architecture extends the topography and memory of the site, balancing intimacy, conviviality, and landscape.
