When asked to create an installation for Maracujália, an arts and music festival that regularly takes place at diverse, charismatic locations in Porto, two things immediately came to mind. The first was that we wanted the installation to be more of an experience than something merely observed. The second was our aim to keep it as simple as possible.

The idea is to create a stage for the people, allowing them to interact with the architecture. Using the same structural elements typically employed to build stages, we aim to create
a small but highly interactive platform that offers both passive and active recreation. The structure is easy to transport, assemble, and disassemble, and with very few resources, it keeps on reinventing itself and generating new uses.

This flexible framework allows for constant variation in design and programmable spaces, serving as an enabler for fun, social activities, and festival promotion.

    It’s a stage.
    It is your stage.

look around, stare at it, jump inside,
sing a song, dance under rain,
watch a surprise concert, do a surprise concert, tell a joke, kiss your better half, lay on the floor, count the stars, watch a movie, read poetry,
    play a yo-yo,
    don’t climb the structure,
    stay safe,

but do something that you feel you never had the stage for it.
