The renovation of this former ground-floor commercial space is part of an ongoing series of interventions in which we reimagine obsolete uses and transform them into housing opportunities. In this proposal, the shift in programme is accompanied by a broader spatial reconfiguration: a front garden and a shared patio are introduced, significantly increasing the area in direct contact with the outdoors.

The project envisions the creation of two apartments, intended for investment. More than a simple functional subdivision, the proposal explores the transition between public and private domains — engaging with the idea of thresholds, visibility, and shelter. The garden and patio are not merely extensions of the home; they are devices of mediation between city and domesticity.
