The house presents itself as a contemporary reinterpretation of the rural warehouse.
Its orthogonal geometry and flat roof stand in contrast to the agricultural surroundings, defined by dry-stone walls, spontaneous vegetation, and free-roaming animals.
The main façade, austere in expression, is articulated with a wall of exposed stone masonry, suggesting an ambiguous connection to vernacular heritage.
The house rejects mimicry: it asserts itself as a new, autonomous artefact — almost alien to its setting.
Yet the use of local materials, such as reboco tirolês (roughcast render) as its outer skin, and the presence of transitional spaces offering both thermal and functional buffering, reveal a careful reading of the climate and local ways of life.
It is an object suspended between belonging and detachment — between shelter and statement.
